Slush Festival

The Thembrian Slush Festival is a nationwide holiday honoring the
Thembrian High Marshall, as well as celebrating various other aspects
of Thembria's culture. A rather dull affair by even Thembrian standards,
the Slush Festival consists of an endless stream of parade floats
featuring displays made of snow and ice, usually still lifes or
salutes to famous Thembrian figures.
Once the Slush Parade ends, the High Marshall opens a stack
of gifts sent to him from all over the world one of
the rare occasions when foreign countries can participate
in a Thembrian national holiday. The mundane proceedings of
the Slush Festival (coverage provided by state radio) are
typically interrupted by a bomb attempt on the High Marshall,
an occurrence so frequent that it has practically become a
festival tradition.
